Lin-Manuel Miranda is telling the story of Alexander Hamilton, the first American Secretary of Treasury, through Hip-Hop and R&B music that has riveted millions of people for near-on a decade. "I understand how ridiculous the elevator pitch for this show is," says Miranda. "It sounds improbable. And then once you start hearing about Hamilton's life story, it sort of makes sense". Alexander Hamilton’s story is a chaotic one, to say the least.
From penning the Federalist Papers to creating the American Coast Guard, and finally meeting his tragic end at the hands of Vice President Aaron Burr. The Musical covers various key points in the Countries history.

Lin-Manuel Miranda not only wrote and produced this fantastic work, but he also starred as Alexander Hamilton when the show first came to Broadway.
The cast of the Musical, despite assuming the roles of white historical figures, is composed of minority actors. "This is a story about America then, told by America now," says Production creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. The present cast of the show is comprised of talented actors such as Trey Curtis as Alexander Hamilton, Tamar Greene as George Washington, Stephanie Jae Park as Eliza Hamilton, and others.
