The Bulgarian-born Rossen Milanov is highly regarded as a conductor, with a significant national and international presence. His myriad of experience includes conducting many noteworthy orchestras such as the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra; conducting operatic performances such as the Komische Oper Berlin for Shostakovich’s Lady MacBeth of Mtsensk and the Philadelphia Orchestra for Puccini’s La Bohème; multiple collaborations with world-renowned musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, and Joshua Bell; ballet choreographers Mats Ek and Sabrina Matthews; and conducting premieres by Richard Danielpour, Gabriel Prokofiev, and Nicholas Maw.
