“Sensational! It strikes like a lightning bolt.” – Variety
“Gloriously transformative. A godsend.” – The New York Times
Invitations are out. Streamers hung. Dates set! Broadway’s fabbest birthday bash will blow up North America full of life-changing cheers this 2024, with almost twenty cities marked for its extended run. During the third week of February, Company: A Musical Comedy will welcome crowds in Columbus to eight highly anticipated performances from 13 to 18 LIVE at the city’s premier Ohio Theatre!
Sondheim’s 1970 classic takes a gender-bent turn in the new decade, with sold-out runs between Broadway and West End in recent years. This groundbreaking rendition enlists the leadership of 3x Tony Award-winning British director Marianne Elliott and a retouched book based on George Furth’s original writing. And, of course, Stephen Sondheim’s legendary score will make a triumphant return, featuring smash hits “Being Alive,” “Getting Married Today,” and “You Could Drive a Person Crazy.”
Thirty-five is the new twenty! Or at least that’s what Bobbie would like to believe. The differences between growing up and growing old have always eluded her, and now, all those days of carefree youth are catching up. Watch as our birthday bachelorette explores life and sex in the 21st century through the eyes of a bewildered New York millennial. Is being single still as fulfilling as she’s always enjoyed? Or is settling down the next logical step? Bobbie has a lot of figuring out to do, and with the help and hysterics of her equally floundering friends, she really has her work cut out for her.
“Easily the funniest Company I’ve ever seen. A moving living memorial to the late Stephen Sondheim.” – The Washington Post
Hilarious and immediately relatable, Company: A Musical Comedy examines the growing pains of contemporary relationships, from dating to marriage and every little compromise in between. It runs for around 2 hours and 45 minutes, with a short intermission in the middle, and is told through the innovative non-linear vignettes drawn from the original production.
