Does my child need a ticket?
To ensure safety, everyone attending shows must have a ticket. If your child will sit on your lap during the performance, you can purchase the cheapest ticket available. It’s not recommended for children under 5 to attend adult shows.
Does Ohio Theatre offer booster seats?
The theater has complimentary booster seats available on a first-come, first-serve basis. To get a booster seat, please ask a house manager when you arrive at the Ohio Theatre.
What is the bag policy?
Guests are allowed one bag, not exceeding 16″ x 16″ x 8″ in size. Bag is defined but not limited to purses, tote bags, duffel bags, diaper bags, suitcases, knapsacks, backpacks, packages, cartons, paper sacks, briefcases, portfolio cases, binocular cases, camera equipment cases, and any other container used for carrying or concealing items. Bags may be subject to inspection, and patrons might be asked to open their jackets before entering.
Can I take photos or a video during a performance?
Photos, videos, and/or audio recordings are prohibited during performances.
What’s the dress code at the theater?
There’s no officially enforced dress code at the Ohio Theatre.
What’s the closest parking lot?
Just a few steps from the entrance, Columbus Commons Underground Garage is the nearest and most accessible parking to the Ohio Theatre. This garage offers covered parking and an elevator directly to the theater. Both cash and card payments are accepted. For more details, click here.
I think I left something at the theater. Who do I contact?

Are Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) available?
Yes, the theater’s ALDs transmit live microphone sounds directly to a pair of headphones. The venue offers headphones, free of charge for all performances on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like an ALD, please ask an usher or house manager who will provide one for you. Please note: A valid photo ID will be required when using an ALD.
Are service animals welcome?
Yes, registered service animals are welcome at the Ohio Theatre. If you plan to bring a service animal to a performance, please let us know so we can organize an aisle seat for you. Please note: Your service dog should wear a vest or some form of identification as a service animal during the performance.
Are there sign language interpretations?
You can request sign language interpreters, but this must be made at least two weeks before the event and it’s subject to the availability.
Is there accessible seating available?
Accessible seating for wheelchair users and guests with impaired mobility is available in two sections on the Orchestra level. Please be sure to mention that you require accessible seating when booking tickets for an event.
